13th Annual Watsonville Film Festival expands to Monterey County

WASTONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The 13th Watsonville Film Festival graces the silver screen again on March 6th, going beyond Santa Cruz County for the first time.

Maya Cinemas on Main Street in Salinas is joining the list as a host for the first time this year on March 14th to showcase a selection of short films making their rounds in the festival.

WFF in Salinas will showcase narrative and documentary shorts including "Goodbye Friend, "The Call Me the Cross Man," "Dear Watsonville" and "Fighting to Breathe/Lunchando Por Respirar" to name a few.

The festival begins with an Opening Night event on March 6th at the CineLux Green Valley Cinema where screening will run from March 6 to March 8.

After, the festival heads to Santa Cruz on March 9 at the 418 Project Movie Theater..

Finally, the festival ends in Aptos Cabrillo College's Horticulture Center on March 25.

Tickets for the Watsonville Film Festival are available to purchase on their website along with a schedule of films being shown.
