SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A bomb threat was made to a library at CSU Monterey Bay on Wednesday night leading to evacuations of residence halls.

After 9 p.m., the CSU Monterey Bay's Tanimura & Antle Family Memorial Library received the threat over the phone and began to evacuate the library and nearby residence halls.

The Otter Student Union stayed open as a shelter for the students and employees evacuated.

University Police officers searched the library along with Marina Police and the Monterey County Sheriff's Office Explosives K-9 team.

No explosive devices were found and an all-clear was issued right before 1 a.m. Thursday morning with all students returning to the halls and staff heading home.

Local law enforcement will work with the FBI to investigate and identify the person behind the threat.
