Major earthquake rattles Alaska

PERRYVILLE, Alaska (KION) A preliminary 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck 65 miles southwest of Perryville, Alaska on Wednesday night.

Tsunami warnings are in place for the Alaska peninsula.

USGS has the earthquake striking at a little after 10 p.m.
