Clarification: AP-Amazon-Indigenous-Crisis story

ATALAIA DO NORTE, Brazil (AP) — In a story published July 3, 2023, The Associated Press reported on the increasing migration to cities by Indigenous peoples of the Amazon rainforest and included an account of a 1976 meeting between members of the Matis tribe and a Brazilian government expedition. The story should have made clear that the account was based on research by anthropologist Barbara Arisi.
