Car crash sparks fire at San Jose waterpark

A truck crashed into a fence near CaliBunga Waterpark and sparked a vegetation fire Saturday, officials said.

The San Jose Fire Department said the blaze started around 4:45 p.m. and that it began after flames from the car crash spread to nearby vegetation.

The fire also spread to a water slide but was contained to the northwest corner of the park.

Officials asked people to avoid the area.
