Travis Air Force Base’s main gate closed due to crash

A crash has forced Travis Air Force Base’s main gate to be closed early Tuesday morning.

Fairfield police confirmed that a crash had occurred and that people who need to access the base should use other gates, but referred all other questions to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.

Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear.

No estimated time of reopening of the gate has been given.
