Shooting victim dropped off at Fairfield hospital dies; investigation launched

Fairfield police said officers are investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Christmas Eve. 

Just before 1 p.m., a man who had been shot was dropped off at NorthBay hospital. According to police, he was pronounced dead hours later.

Police said officers learned the shooting happened on the 400 block of Cottonwood Drive and that they have launched an investigation.
