Santa Cruz conducting Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessement Project

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) - The County of Santa Cruz Department of Community Development and Infrastructure is surveying for feedback on how to tackle rising sea levels.

The Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment Project is part of Santa Cruz County's Local Coastal Program and will be used to find which areas are the most vulnerable.

The project also aims to understand the impacts that sea level rise may bring, aid in developing strategies to reduce risks, and build community and environmental resilience.

It will also provide a foundation for more well-thought-out policy decisions in regard to sea level rise.
