Our Neighborhood Pet Project's Pet of the Week for May 1, 2025 is Cowboy!

Cowboy was rescued after being found on a street in Salinas with a severe infection affecting most of his tail, necessitating its amputation.

While Cowboy's tail had to be amputated, he is now healed from his surgery and is living with several older kittens in a foster home and is ready to go out on his own!

Cowboy loves playing with toys on his cat meowtain and chasing spring toys.

Cowboy's second favorite activity is crawling onto human laps to give kisses and get pets.
