Student arrested, no injuries after shots fired at South Carolina State University
Orangeburg, S.C. (AP) — A student is facing charges after shots were fired at South Carolina State University on Tuesday. The historically Black public university says no one was hurt, but the campus went into a lockdown for nearly one hour. The university says a 19-year-old sophomore from Charleston has been charged with carrying a firearm on school property. It says more charges are pending. The State Law Enforcement Division is helping with an investigation.
