NEW YORK (AP) — The trial for two men accused of killing Run-DMC star Jam Master Jay will resume Tuesday after opening statements and testimony on the long-in-the-making trial’s first day. The jury heard Monday from crime scene investigators who collected evidence and a detective who was among the first on the scene of the 2002 killing. Prosecutors argue that Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan Jr. were both close to the trailblazing DJ but were driven by “greed and revenge” when they ambushed him at his recording studio. Prosecutors say they killed the 37-year-old Jam Master Jay after being cut out of a cocaine deal.
