Who Deserves a High Five?
Every community has people and organizations that go above and beyond. Quietly making a difference, inspiring others, and helping make our Central Coast a better place to live. The High Five Community Service Excellence Award, presented by KION Central Coast and Monterey Credit Union, shines a spotlight on everyday heroes who give their time, talent, compassion, and energy to help others.Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized?
Maybe it’s a neighbor, teacher, coach, nonprofit, business, volunteer, or organization that is making a real difference. Tell us about them!
Four times a year, KION Central Coast will select an outstanding individual or organization from Monterey, Santa Cruz, or San Benito County to receive the High Five Community Service Excellence Award and be featured on KION Central Coast channels!
What Makes a High Five Nominee?
We are looking for people and organizations who demonstrate:
1. Leadership- Bringing people together and strengthening our community.
2. Service- Giving time and effort to make a meaningful difference.
3. Mentorship- Inspiring and positively influencing others.
4. Positive Change- Creating lasting impacts and helping others thrive.
Nominees should demonstrate meaningful community service or volunteer work within the past year and should not receive personal or financial benefit from the service being recognized.
