Man killed in El Cerrito shopping center parking lot shooting, suspects on the run

Police in El Cerrito are searching for two suspects after a man was shot and killed in a parking lot early Sunday morning.

The El Cerrito Police Department responded to the parking lot of Del Norte Plaza shopping center on San Pablo Avenue around 12:15 a.m. 

Police said they found a man shot in the parking lot near Los Moles Restaurant. The man died, police said. 

His identification has not been released. 

Witnesses said the suspects were involved in a fight with a victim at his car and shot him, police said. The suspects then took off south on South 56th Street in a dark colored sedan.

One suspect was described as wearing a black mask and a black North Face puffy jacket. The other was wearing a hat and a black Nike jacket.
