Fire crews have stopped the forward progression of the McKean Fire in Santa Clara County Sunday afternoon.

Cal Fire said aviation and ground resources were at the scene of the fire off Alamden Road and Mountain Drive, trying to establish containment lines.

Crews said the fire was burning at a moderate rate, but said the forward progress was stopped at just about 10 acres.

The fire was burning in an area that crews said was in difficult terrain.

No evacuations were issued, but people were urged to avoid the area.
