Beach Hazards Statement issued February 1 at 11:42AM PST until February 2 at 9:00AM PST by NWS San Francisco CA

* WHAT…An increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip
currents with breaking waves of 14 to 19 feet.

* WHERE…San Francisco, Northern Monterey Bay and Southern
Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast Counties.

* WHEN…Through Monday morning for the Beach Hazards Statement.
The Coastal Flood Advisory will expire at Noon PST today.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous conditions are forecast along the
shoreline. Hazards include sneaker waves, strong rip currents,
and large breaking waves.
Stay off of jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside
infrastructure. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous surf
and NEVER turn your back on the ocean. Monitor local weather,
surf and tide forecasts at www.weather.gov/mtr.
