Oakland police investigating after man found dead inside home

An Oakland man was found dead inside a home on Friday evening, police said.
Officers were called just before 7:15 p.m. for a report of a deceased person inside a home on the 1500 block of Jackson Street.
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigators observed the man had “multiple lacerations.”
Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the homicide.
