Opportunities For More Sunshine
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) – Weak low pressure aloft will stick around for the next few days. The marine layer will remain in place on the coast but clouds may occasionally clear as the air around the low mixes through the layers.
Air Quality: Good
This Morning: The Central Coast will see continued cool and cloudy conditions with a compressed but still deep marine layer supporting widespread drizzle. Expect overcast skies in the overnight hours. Expect more opportunities for sunshine and on-shore winds in the afternoon hours.
This Evening: For the evening, expect continued cloudy and cool conditions, especially near the coast and in higher terrain. The marine layer will deepen slightly, pushing low clouds back inland after brief afternoon clearing.
Extended: Tuesday and Wednesday expect highs in the lower 70s—possibly reaching upper 70s to low 80s inland. Coastal marine influence will still moderate temperatures closer to the coast. By Tuesday, the warming trend becomes more noticeable, with temps climbing 1–3 °F each day through the week.. Although, temperatures are still below seasonable averages for the coast this time of year.
