Carmel Valley Road/Laureles Grade Roundabout project begins first of six phases

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) - The County of Monterey has begun construction on the first phase of six for the Roundabout project at Carmel Valley Road and Laureles Grade.

This includes installing temporary concrete barriers right at the approaches to separate traffic from construction work. This phase is expected to take approximately one week to complete.

After that, the flow of traffic will be unrestricted, with all movements open and the barriers up, utilizing a temporary signal system.

Construction on this first phase will be between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
