Pacific Grove winds down its Parklet Program

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION-TV) - The Parklet Program will sunset on October 31 of this year to focus on transitioning to sidewalk dining.

Businesses that notified the City of Pacific Grove by the end of June received a one-year sidewalk dining permit fee waiver along with a no-cost parklet removal from Public Works.

The City Council voted to sunset the program by October 31. Parklets have been removed from Il Vecchio, Red House Cafe, and The PG Meeting House/Nura Sushi & Island Grill this week.

Parklets that have yet to be removed will stay in place until the end of October.
