The 5th annual We Are Southern Monterey County Painting and Photography Competition is still accepting submissions but there's only one day left for Monterey county artists.

The competition is organized by district 3 supervisor Chris Lopez, allowing for any style of painting, drawing, or photography that reflects the beauty and spirit of south county to be submitted.

The winner will be displayed in Supervisor Lopez's office for a year and receive some of south county's most famous wares, including wine, olive oil, and honey. The winner will also receive a less specific prize of gift cards.

The competition actually began back on April 23rd. Submissions are due no later than, July 11th. You can sign up and learn how to submit at forms.office.com/g/LkspVzJhzE
