Naloxone, fentanyl testing vending machine may come to Soledad

SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION-TV) - Life-saving resources may soon be available at the Soledad Fire Station.

City Council is expected to approve an agreement with the Monterey County Health Department to install a naloxone and fentanyl test strip vending machine.

The county identified Soledad as a strategic location as part of its countywide initiative to reduce overdose deaths.

Four kiosks have been installed in Salinas and Marina, but this would mark the first one in South County.
