CHP Santa Cuz confiscates “ghost gun” during DUI traffic stop

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A man is arrested after a traffic stop leads to the discovery of a ghost gun on his person on Highway 1 on Monday night.

CHP Santa Cruz officers heard a call about a suspected DUI driver on Highway 1 near Freedom Boulevard.

After stopping the car, they found a 24-year-old man from Watsonville. While arresting him, they found an unserialized gun or "ghost gun."

The driver is now facing felonies including possession of the gun and DUI.
