Seaside man found guilty of sexual assault

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) -- A Seaside man has been found guilty of sexual assault on Monday as announced by Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine M. Pacioni.

51-year-old Stephen Guice was convicted of forcible rape and false imprisonment. On April 4, 2024, Guice met the victim and offered them and their friend drugs before entering the women's bathroom.

The victim was sexually assaulted and taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. Gruice was identified using prior evidence collected by the Sexual Assault Response Team.

Gruice faces a potential sentence of 25 years of life for the forcible rape charge.
