ELO-P afterschool program may be heading to Marina Teen Center

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The City of Marina seeks to run a segment of an afterschool program at its teen center in an agreement with Monterey Peninsula Unified School District.

The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) has been offered as a program before as part of the City's Recreation and Cultural Services Department as part of the 2024 summer session and for elementary students in the 2024-2025 school year.

The program under the MPUSD hopes to have the program run for middle school students for the remainder of the school year.

The City of Marina hopes to be an independent contractor to run the program within the Marina Teen Center for students of Los Arboles Middle School.
