Juvenile airlifted to Bay Area hospital after being hit by vehicle in Greenfield

Greenfield police said a juvenile was flown to a Bay Area hospital after she was hit by a vehicle.

On Friday at around 5:55 p.m., police, Greenfield Fire, Cal Fire, South Monterey County Fire and AMR responded to a crash at the intersection of Heidi Drive and Elm Avenue. They found out that a juvenile was crossing the intersection and was hit.

The juvenile was flown to a Bay Area hospital for treatment because of the extent of her injuries. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated.

Police are reminding everyone to obey traffic laws and asking parents to educate their children about traffic safety.
