Nearly 5,000 people without power in Monterey Sunday

Nearly 5,000 people without power in Monterey Sunday evening.

The outage started at around 6 p.m. and there is not an estimated time for it to be back up yet.

PG&E says it has crews en route to find the cause and restore power.

The area affected includes the Presidio of Monterey, Veterans Memorial Park and much of downtown.
