Monterey Bay Half Marathon Canceled

The Monterey Bay Half Marathon scheduled for November 11th has been canceled.

The event’s website confirmed the cancelation citing “rapidly declining air quality”.

They say the air quality during Saturday morning’s 3K and 5K events was moderate however a shift in wind patterns lead the marathon’s medical director and National Weather Service to determine the air not safe for runners, volunteers, staff, and other race-related personnel to participant in tomorrow’s scheduled events.

The Monterey Bay Half Marathon says it will notify all participants about future event considerations via email early next week.
