Spectators faun over Ferraris

CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. (KION-TV) - Across five blocks, Ferrari after Ferrari lined the streets of Carmel-By-The-Sea. People were packed into every corner just to catch a glimpse of the different cars.

It's honestly phenomenal," Ash Martin, a spectator from Monterey, said.

The event, Ferrari Owners Club Concours Carmel, had live music, packed restaurants, and happy faces as people got up close to the various Ferraris and motorcycles.

This caused many street closures, and the main complaint circulating from the community was the amount of traffic around there area and the amount of time it took to park; but once past that obstacl,e people were overjoyed.

Martin said she brought her dad, who has loved cars his whole life but had never gotten to experience car week until now.

"Getting him to come here and see just any and every piece of car history has been really fulfilling," Martin said. "It's tough being a local resident having to deal with all the traffic, but the payoff is so worth it for people to have so much fun together for a week."

The event, while mainly focused on Ferraris, did have Corvettes and a few other car brands showcased as well.

There are three days left in car week and no one seems to be pumping the breaks just yet.
