Spring Ahead with More Sun!
Beautiful weather continues for the second half of the weekend with sunny and mild temps! High pressure dominates with the dry weather pattern. However, changes are brewing as the ridge of high pressure will keep moving east. Rain will return next week with unsettled weather expected even through next weekend. Monday and Tuesday look mainly dry, but rain showers and much cooler air arrives by Wednesday.
Air Quality: Good
Overnight:Â Mostly clear, with patchy stratus/fog at coast. Slightly warmer with lows in 30s and 40s.
Sunday:Â Sunny skies and seasonal with temps in the upper 50s to 70 degrees. Southerly winds.
Monday: Fair weather with sunshine but clouds mixing in, and temps still seasonal with high temps in the 60s. Slight chance for a light shower in southern Monterey County as a system passes to our south and east.
Extended: Looking mainly dry for Monday and Tuesday with just slight chance of a shower for southern Monterey County. A series of systems will keep next week active with rain, much cooler temps and gusty winds by late Tuesday and Wednesday morning and unsettled weather continuing through next weekend. - ENSO Forecast: La Niña persists into spring, then transitions to neutral by summer.
- Area drought status: Moderate drought for far southeastern Monterey County. Abnormally dry for southeastern Monterey County and eastern San Benito County. Drought-free for the remainder of the KION coverage area.
