Man shot in third Watsonville shooting in three days

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A man is recovering after being shot on Ginos Court in Watsonville on Tuesday evening, the third shooting in the last three days.

The 31-year-old unidentified man was shot in what Watsonville Police believe may be a gang-related shooting. Officers on the scene found shell casings on the ground with two guns found close by.

Upon acquiring a search warrant for the home, officers found three firearms and ammunition.

A 16-year-old was arrested on gun-related charges not related to the shooting and booked into Juvenile Hall.

Detectives will continue to investigate as no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting itself.

Other shootings being investigated include one on Sudden Street near the fire station on Sunday and an alleged drive-by shooting on Second Street on Monday.
