Slight Warming Trend Continues Thursday
A gradual warming trend continues Thursday, persisting through the end of the work week. However, late Friday we'll start to transition into a slightly unsettled pattern. A trough of low pressure will begin to dig into the Western U.S, bringing us gusty winds and slightly cooler conditions. A deeper marine layer could mean some Drizzle for near coastal cities by early Saturday, but overall we look to remain shower free with this system.
Air Quality:Â Good
Thursday: Low clouds will retreat to the coast, leaving inland areas under mostly sunny skies. Patchy low clouds possible near the coast, especially on the south side of the bay. Highs will be a touch warmer this afternoon, slightly above average highs inland, mid-70s to mid 80s, coastal areas in the 60s to low 70s, warmest on the north side of the bay. Breezy, occasionally gusty, west-northwesterly winds.
Overnight: Increasing clouds, with low level clouds thickening near the coast, filling into nearby valleys, and high clouds joining the mix after midnight. Few areas of patchy fog possible. Coastal lows in the upper 40s to low 50s, inland mostly 40s.
Friday: Low clouds clear from interior valleys, remaining patchy at the coast. High clouds will continue to move through the region. Partly to mostly sunny conditions inland, partly cloudy at the coast. West, northwesterly winds will increase by mid-afternoon becoming gusty. A touch cooler, with highs in the 60s to low 70s at the coast. Upper 70s to mid 80s inland.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions
Extended: Winds will remain gusty throughout the weekend, with the strongest winds being Saturday. Heading out of the weekend, we'll start to transition to a nicer, warmer pattern as a strong ridge of high pressure begins to build, leading us to what could be some toasty temperatures inland by mid-week.
