Summer workshop “Anime Your Way” gives upcoming artist a new way to draw

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) - The Santa Cruz Public Libraries invites all artists ages 12 to 18 to join in on the “Anime Your Way” drawing workshops with former “Simpsons” artist Carlos Nieto III this weekend.

Nieto III will teach a step-by-step program where participants create an anime character from the ground up.

The style Neito III will be akin to the art style presented in Japanese manga comics and often associated with the Japanese animated art form of anime.

The workshop is a part of the larger Summer Reading Program "Color Our World," focused on building upon the creativity of youth in Santa Cruz County.
