President Biden addresses the nation following the attack on New Orleans

WASHINGTON D.C., (KION-TV) -- President Biden addressed the nation on New Year's Day.
"We're going to stand with you as you mourn and you heal in the days to come," he said.
Biden gave a large "thank you" to the federal law agencies who stopped the now dead suspect.
"The killer was an American citizen, born in Texas [and] served in the army," he said. "Mere hours before the attack and inspired by Isis, the idea to kill... to kill."
The situation is fluid, said Biden. Law agencies continue to look for further partners and investigations are ongoing.
"Once we have this information, I'll share as soon as we can confirm," he said.
Biden also mentioned the Cybertruck explosion outside of the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, looking into whether the two are connected.
"We will support the people of New Orleans," he reiterated. "I know that the spirit of New Orleans will never be defeated. It will always shine on."
